Rosalyn Salters - Founder / Director

Rosalyn maintains professional backgrounds in both ecotourism and the arts (dance) – the integral components of EcoArts Tours. She recently worked at the Center for Responsible Travel at Stanford University, and currently provides private consulting in sustainable travel. She holds a MSc in Ecotourism from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her master’s dissertation provided the World Wildlife Fund with a framework for indigenous ecotourism development of the Kikori River Basin, a proposed UNESCO site in Papua New Guinea. Her ecotourism experience spans across the globe - from California to Colombia, Papua New Guinea to Tanzania.

Rosalyn also maintains a lifelong dedication to the arts. At a young age, she became immersed in dancing, music (piano, harp, Native American drumming), visual arts and meditation. She is formally trained in African Diaspora dances, ballet, belly dance, Bharatanatyam, jazz, Latin/Caribbean, modern and tap. With over 15 years of cumulative dance training, performing and teaching experience in the United States and Europe, the culmination has instilled in her a vast knowledge and ability to unite the underlying essence of various art and life forms. She views the arts and ecotourism as a holistic approach in learning about cultures and life in relation to Mother Earth.
